Hosted by Chef Ghaidaa Masrabi, this intimate breakfast event is designed to bring our community together over the shared ritual of a morning meal. In Syrian culture, breakfast isn’t just a quick bite—it’s a spread of flavors meant to be savored slowly, surrounded by conversation.
Supporting a Dream: Ghaidaa came to St. Louis with a dream of sharing her culinary heritage. Working with Fork in the Road Foundation, she is turning her incredible skill in the kitchen into a sustainable business. By joining us, you are directly supporting Ghaidaa’s path to economic independence. You are helping a refugee entrepreneur build capital, gain confidence, and establish herself as a leader in our local food scene.
Whether you come alone or with a group, you will find a warm welcome, new friends, and a plate full of heart.
The Morning Feast
A 6-Course Traditional Syrian Spread
Chef Ghaidaa has curated a menu of traditional morning favorites, featuring fresh ingredients and bold spices.

Lebnah – A breakfast staple: thick, creamy strained yogurt topped with cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, and zaa’tar.

Hummus – Creamy chickpeas blended with garlic and lemon, served with a swirl of olive oil.

Foule Mudammus – A comforting, warm dish of fava beans, garlic, and lemon, served with fresh veggies.

Falafel – Crispy, golden-fried chickpea patties with herbs, served with savory tahini.

Zaa’tar Pie – Freshly baked dough topped with a fragrant mix of thyme, sumac, sesame seeds, and olive oil.
