The Fork in the Road Foundation is proud to present our 4th of July Supper Club, featuring an incredible 5-course global feast crafted by Chef Mawda Altayan. Our mission at Fork in the Road is to empower refugee women as they build new lives and independent futures here in St. Louis. This holiday, we are coming together to celebrate the values of freedom, resilience, and community through the universal language of incredible food.

For just $20, Chef Mawda is serving up a stunning homemade menu that bridges cultures and flavors. Dine in community with us at Grace UMC or grab your food to-go for the ultimate holiday picnic. Come hungry, celebrate our neighborhood’s beautiful diversity, and support a mission that creates real change—one delicious plate at a time!

🍽 Mawda’s Menu

Prepare your senses for a journey through rich spices, crispy textures, and unexpected sweetness.

• Avocado Hummus. Served with Pita: Chickpeas, tahina, avocado, lemon, garlic, olive oil.

• Cheese Burak: Handmade dough made of flour, milk, ghee, and yeast. Stuffed with Arabic cheese and parsley. Deep friend with corn oil.

• Vegetarian Samosa: Spring roll pastry stuffed with potatoes, green peas, carrots, onions, artichoke, Mediterranean spices. Deep fried with corn oil.

• Pasta Salad: Pasta, corn, black olives, sweet pepper, olive oil, yogurt, mayonnaise, garlic, and lemon juice.

• Mix Nut Baklava: Pistachios, walnuts, almonds, cashews, coconut, phyllo dough, ghee, rose water, sugar syrup.
